Ole Times Country Buffet in Albany

Kind of disappointing. I went there for the pork chops, and much to my surprise, they were there, but deep fried.The salad bar was no place to be found and the desserts, which are usually out of this world, were limited and picked over. The wait staff was exceptional as always. All in all it's a great place to eat. Nice ambiance, great food at a very reasonable price.Oh, well, every business is entitled to an off day once in a while. Can't wait to go back.

This is a GREAT place to eat. The cornbread brought the Texan out of my husband. And he could not find anything wrong at all. That is saying something major.

Great Southern Comfort foods. Fried and other options. Fried and baked chicken. Sauteed steaks in a light gravy was very good and the sausage was great. Pulled pork yummy. Best MacnCheese anywhere !!. We arrived 30 min before close and all the staff were cordial and didn't try to rush us. Very good iced tea. Yummy desserts and several kinds of veggies and breads. We try to stop in here whenever we travel thru Valdosta. Thanks !

Good food but they are serving you at the buffet be prepared for a wait

We're just passing through and are so glad we stopped here for lunch. It's worth the stop if you are hungry. We did not find anything we did not like. There is a good selection of true southern classics made with genuine heart and soul.

Was very impressed with how they had everything organized for social distancing. Table marked indicating not to sit. Cafeteria style serving as wellm Food was great not crowded as well.

CoVid city! Safe practices here we're like being in a Petri dish of coVid. There was some strange annoying noise coming from a ceiling fan the whole time we are eating. No wonder Georgia's a hotspot. The governor should shut this place down.

Great country cooking. Love the greens, cabbage, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, fried fish and many more. Friendly staff workers , comfortable place to dine in

Meatloaf and yams were to die for. Staff were excellent. Great price for a Sunday afternoon I paid $28for two people but on a regular day it would be $14 which is reasonable. Great atmosphere. The dessert felt as if something was missing.

The buffet was packed with good stuff to eat! If you like catfish it was some of the best I've ever eaten. The service wasn't fantastic but it wasn't terrible. The price was $15.99 per person for all you can eat and there were many choices!

The food was good, the service was excellent and the staff friendly. This is one of my favorite places to eat.

The same thoughts as the other reviewers. The food was amazing for a buffet. The store was a little out of kilter when we arrived but they had just had a party of over 100 for a family reunion and they were cleaning up from that. The wait staff was very attentive, and the selections were amazing. I had catfish, fried shrimp, peel and eat shrimp, collard greens (amazingly good), mashed potatoes and gravy, and the best blackberry cobbler I have ever had. There were three adults and two children and the total was only $60.38 I highly recommend this place for good wholesome food and reasonable prices.

The food was abundant and delicious! This place has the best variety of vegetables I have seen at any buffet. Beyond the vegetables, there was a nice variety of beef, fish, pork, and poultry. This is the best representation of down home southern food I have found at any restaurant. I highly recommend planning to be in the vicinity of the Old Times Country Buffet at mealtime. You won't be sorry.

Very poor service, I have lived here for 30 years. I love the other restaurants but this one I do not recommend

Food was good. But after working in the sun at 95 degrees maybe my 3 stars is not enough.

We stopped here on the way home back to Birmingham and it was delicious. Our server Wendy made us feel like we were her family members. We really enjoyed her service. Comfort food for the soul.

Soo far since they been opean know the waitress has been amazing, the girl up front try too take an additional 8 dollars I had too let her know she was over charging me that not good at all for business , the 2 stars are for the waitress

Some damn good eating.

We picked this location at random on Dec 20, 2019 as we stayed in town overnight. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were astonished at the size and variety of the buffet. And it was stick-to-your-ribs delicious. I think we hit a seafood emphasis night, and it was done right. One of my relatives has numerous food allergies, and has to eliminate probably 95% of standard menus from consideration, but she found ample items here to her enjoyment as well. The wait staff was extremely busy, but did a fine job remaining attentive to our needs. The ambiance is, well, its not like the Cracker Barrel next door, but it's not jarring either. I made a point as we left of flagging down the manager on duty and thanking them for the efforts of the staff in exceeding our expectations.

We ate here about a year ago and it was great. This time wasnt so great. My iced tea was spoiled and the bbq chicken was so dry. The ribs were pretty tough.

Excellent southern food buffet. Very down home and casual feeling. All the staff was very kind and helpful. Food was seasoned and full and flavor on almost every item. Would love to return.

Although the atmosphere and decor need some attention and updating, the food has a tremendous selection and is delicious! Everything is well seasoned, particularly the fried chicken and the fried fish. Probably the best southern food buffet, hands down! Dinner is at a fair price, about $16 with a drink. We have stopped there twice during travel within the past month, and loved it both times.

It was great. Some of the best tasting buffet food I have ever had.

Easy to navigate, good food, quick and courteous service. Place was very clean, including bathrooms. Enough options to choose from. Only complaint is that the sweet tea we were given tasted a little soapy. We did not finish our cups nor get refills because of this.

Good food and great customer services. However, it should be mandatory for everyone to wear a mask while at the buffet.

It has been many years since we were there last. Food was very good and service cleaning our plates was very good. Food was still very good. Ribs were using dry rub so mixing them with the baked beans made them better.

This place is one of the best buffets I have ever been too... everything is seasoned very well, they have all the country must have dishes. Its everything that you think of when you think of home cooking. The lunch buffet was only 8.99 which is unbeatable this day and age! I wish we had a place like this back at home, I would eat here everyday. The service was great the waitress kept all 9 glasses full the entire time and we are some camels when it comes to sweet tea! (Which was great btw, just the right amount of sweet, and brewed perfectly as it didn't taste like sugar water) very satisfied!

The food was well seasoned. Everything I tasted was good minus the baked chicken. The peach cobbler was salty. Really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies(nice and crunchy), okra/tomatoes, cabbage, fried ribs and chicken. The waitress was very nice.
